Teach Them to Love One Another

Jeana sent over these pictures to me today of what happened right after Kate smashed her fingers in a drawer. Jeana wrote down what Audrey was saying, so here is the narration of what happened.

“Ohhh… do you want to sit on my lap, Kate? It’s okay. Don’t worry about it. I’ll pray for your fingers, Kate. When I was 1, I used to smash my fingers and cry too. It’s okay. You want me to kiss your fingers, Kate? There…does that make it feel better? You sure are getting heavy, Kate.

“I always take care of her when her fingers get smashed because she’s so precious to me.”

The reference in the title is to Mosiah 4:15, which is very familiar to the children of the Steve and Pat Baldwin family (or at least to Jodi and me).

    Scott and Jeana,

Audrey obviouly understands what King Benjiman was teaching his people. She knows about love and service! What sweet little sisters.
You are such good parents ( always setting a great example for your girls)! I am so proud of all of you. Audrey is the best big sister. Kate will always be safe with Audrey around. The girls have a very special place in their grandmother’s heart. I am so anxious to see them and give them a big hug. Please tell Audrey I am so proud of her. Thanks for sharing a great highlight in your family.

    Love, Mom & Grandma Baldwin

  2. It’s so good to hear what’s going on with you guys. I love reading your blog.

  3. My favorite part is when Audrey says “I always take care of her when her fingers get smashed.” I guess it sounds familiar.
