Halloween Festivities

Alright, we’re a little slow at getting the Halloween pictures up, but here they are. There were so many celebrations this year, that Halloween seemed like a week long holiday. Audrey went trick or treating at 4 different events and Kate went at 3.  We’ll definitely have to cut back next year.  The worst part of it is, I end up eating way too much of the candy.

The festivities started off Friday night with the Trunk or Treat at the Church.  Audrey and Kate were fairies.  They believe they were Tinkerbell and as long as they believe it, that’s all that matters right?

On Saturday, we had a shin dig at our house.  No candy this time, but there was a cake walk for the kids, and a fort in the back yard made of card board boxes.  What more could you ask for?

Monday night was dedicated to carving pumpkins.  At first we had to bribe the girls just to stick their hands in the pumpkin, but they got much braver by the end.

On Tuesday, Audrey’s preschool dressed up in their costumes and went around to different rooms and offices trick or treating.  I was hiding in one of the rooms with candy for the kids and Audrey was so excited when they came trick or treating to my door.  Then, on Wednesday there was this thing (almost like a carnival) at a park in Round Rock with candy, games, candy, baloons, candy, a fire truck, and more.  So they loaded up there too.  As you can see, Kate was a big fan of the fire truck.

Wednesday night we got together with some friends for cheese and broccoli soup and trick or treating.  It was around 80 degrees by the way.  We’ll have to come up with a more suitable Halloween meal for Texas living.  Scott was awesome herding the kids to all the doors, so I could just stand back and watch.

  1. You can tell the weather was about 30 degrees warmer in Texas. As you know us idahoans are used to wearing moon boots instead of flip flops. You looked cute girls!

  2. I am thinking the same as Magan – we could never get away with fairy costumes without a winter coat and thick tights! Cute tinkerbells!

  3. Yeah, I was surprised to be walking around in a t-shirt with the girls for trick or treating. Maybe everyone should come visit us for halloween next year!

  4. Wow Audrey reminds me of you Jeana in that picture where she laughing…carving pumpkins.
