“Oh Brother”

In Audrey’s favorite books (The Magic Tree House series), one of the main characters, Jack, always says, “Oh, brother!” Audrey can be heard saying this all the time, especially when Kate does something silly.

Well, we found out today that Audrey and Kate are going to be having a little brother next February! I’ll be honest, I’m excited to have another male influence in the home. The girls have no idea what they’re in for. In fact, I don’t know what I’m in for to be a dad to a boy. Hopefully he’ll like playing with Polly Pockets and princesses, because we have a lot of those.

  1. Yay! I’m so excited for a boy!!! I can’t believe you’re finally gonna have some blue in that house!

  2. Yeah, and Lucas will finally have some more masculine toys to play with when he comes over. Move over Barbie, it’s time for army guys and action figures.

  3. I’m so excited for you guys! I was totally predicting another girl for you, so I’m glad to be proven wrong. I’m a little envious because I’ve been told by several moms that little boys are more cuddly than girls.

  4. Congratulations!

  5. CONGRATULATIONS!! Little boys are awesome and how nice that you will have two big helpers!! Also, the Polly Pocket dolls have made wonderful chew toys (we make sure any choking hazards are out of reach:))

  6. I”m so excited for you to have a boy!!! Congrats!

  7. Yipee! Exciting info! Can’t wait to see him with the sisters influence. Mason has been dressed up in girl swimsuits and dress up clothes and even put up with getting his hair fixed in clips. Good Luck!

  8. You’ll have a great time with your son. I have a very soft place in my heart for my sweet boys. Unfortunately, I seem to get mad at my girls more than my boys. And Brad loves doing boy things with our guys. Dallen is his golf buddy, and Jed is his tennis buddy.
