I’m slow at getting to it, but I have some funny stories about Kate. Ever since Audrey started school, my workout schedule has suffered. So, a little over a week ago, I decided that I was going to take Kate for a bike ride. She, however was not excited about it, because it meant that she would have to leave her Beauty and the Beast cd behind. She and Audrey have both been obsessed with Beauty and the Beast ever since we went and saw the play at Zilker’s hillside theater. So, I decided to put the songs on my ipod and let her listen while I rode. Have you ever seen a 2 year old listening to an ipod? Pretty pathetic. Talk about the instant gratification generation. Oh well. At least I got my workout in.
Later that day, we went over to Harman’s for Lucas’s 2 year birthday party. I heard Kate let out a little whine in the other room. It really wasn’t very loud. Normally I would have ignored it, but I went to check her out and she had her arm stuck in one of Lucas’s toys. The toy has been recalled, but Suzanne supposedly has the fixed version of it. Everyone joined us in the other room. Jackson has the same toy and has also gotten stuck before, so Brenna took it all apart, but Kate’s arm didn’t slip out like Jackson’s has. I guess her arm has a little more meat on it. Shocking, I know. Suzanne came to the rescue with some lotion and Kate’s arm slipped right out. Everyone clapped afterwards, but my favorite part was when Suzanne said, “Oh! That was just like when the little girl got rescued from the well.”

Kate was such a stud! I’m still impressed with how you guys handled having a kid stuck in a toy. I would have called the firefighters and the media.
