Divas

Audrey went to a “Diva Party” for one of her school friends a few weeks ago.  Kate was also invited, but was sick so she stayed home.  (Everyone in Audrey’s class knows and loves Kate.)  Even though Kate couldn’t go, they sent home a pamper purse for her too.  The pamper purse contained LOTS AND LOTS of lip gloss and finger nail polish.  When Audrey got home, she painted Kate’s fingernails and toenails and then moved on to me.

Check out how awesome she did on my toes.

I explained to them, that they needed to ask me first whenever they wanted to use the nail polish.  Do you see where this is going?  Yep, the next morning, Kate went to town on her toes and of course  got some on our chair that she had tipped over before hand.  If you look close in the picture, you can see lip gloss all over her lips, cheek, and hair.

Yes.  She has some pink hair.  Needless to say the nail polish has now been confiscated.

Easter

…a little bit late, but oh well. Here’s some pictures of the kids on Easter. It was pretty monumental since it was also Simon’s blessing day. Check out his cute vest that I knitted.

The night before Easter, Audrey got all excited and said, “The rabbit fairy is coming tomorrow!” Scott and I laughed our heads off. Apparently, we haven’t put much emphasis on the Easter Bunny. We could hardly even talk, we were laughing so hard – which made Audrey get embarrassed, so we forced ourselves to stop. But every once in a while one of us would think of it and just start laughing again. I told Scott that I needed to write it down and since he was sitting at the desk, he wrote it down for me. Later on Audrey sat at the desk to play on the computer and she saw what Scott had written, so she grabbed a pen and scribbled it out. I guess we can’t laugh at her any more… at least not in front of her face.
